The rapidly growing franchise network of wine and beverage retailers has opened the first of three planned Atlantaarea stores at Perimeter Place near Perimeter Mall. WineStyles says its mission is to offer superb, world-class wines at affordable everyday prices. The retailer emphasizes its unique approach to presenting wines, which are organized according to taste "styles" (e.g., oaky, buttery, medium-bodied, etc.) which are clearly marked in the store. This contrasts with the traditional approach of organizing wines by variety of grape or by region of origin, which according to WineStyles is a less reliable way of identifying the taste "style" of the wine. Additionally, visitors may ask one of the store's friendly and knowledgeable wine lovers on staff to help answer any questions or to suggest gift ideas. WineStyles at Perimeter Place invites the public to its weekly "Drink in Style" wine tasting event. From 6:00 to 8:00 pm every Thursday visitors may sample up to 12 wines, enjoy instruction from a wine distributor, and snack on light appetizers.
