TWO MEN AND A TRUCK recently opened its international doors in Hamilton, Ontario just outside of Toronto, Canada. The Hamilton location is the first of 10 planned locations for the Toronto area. The Heron Capital Corporation will act as master franchisers in Canada working with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK home office in Lansing, Mich. "We are a company built on top-quality customer service,'' President and COO Melanie Bergeron says. "We know we can serve Canada customers just as we have served American customers for nearly 20 years. It's very exciting to see our system move in this direction.'' Larry Renaud, franchisee of the Hamilton location says TWO MEN AND A TRUCK 's great reputation for customer service and established system attracted him to make the investment in his own franchise. Renaud, a resident of Hamilton for nearly 20 years, completed a three-week training session at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK home office located in Lansing, Mich. All future franchisees must complete the course that includes classes on marketing, management, computer technology and packing and moving the in-house two-story model home. "This is a great moment for me both professionally and personally,'' says Renaud, of the opening. "Opening a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchise gives me the opportunity to get into a well-managed, solid franchise system right at the ground floor. It also gives me the opportunity to work and give back to the community I love.'' TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is also looking to expand in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, Mexico and parts of Asia. The company plans to open a total of 40 locations across Canada.
