Employees Earn Certified Franchise Executive Status

The Institute of Certified Franchise Executives designated five TWO MEN AND A TRUCK employees as Certified Franchise Executives. The CFE program is a professional development program designed by franchise executives for franchise executives. It has established franchise-based curriculum that is taught by recognized experts. Candidates are required to complete a course of study that includes nine areas diversity, finance, franchise recruitment, franchise relations, franchise law and regulations, human resource management, operations, and marketing. Candidates also earn credit for work experience and participation at the annual International Franchise Association convention. The five TWO MEN AND A TRUCK recipients included: Cindy Aycock, executive assistant to COO Melanie Bergeron and CEO Mary Ellen Sheets; Keith Clark, controller; Sally Degnan, director of education and training; Shirley Kefgan, qualifying specialist and competitive analyst; and Richard Oldegans, franchise business consultant coordinator. Started as an after-school endeavor for two high school boys, the Michigan-based TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchise system has grown to become the fifth-largest moving company in the United States with 149 locations.
