SUNBELT Business Advisors Network has joined the Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort by starting Project Katrina. The relief effort is partnering with local hotels to gather toiletry donations and bringing them to evacuees in shelters throughout Georgia. SUNBELT will be gathering soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine products, and other sundries. We are also collecting other items such as business attire from area residents to offer clothing for interviews and/or the new jobs that they find throughout Georgia. All of these items will be brought to approximately 16 shelters across Georgia, which are housing an estimated 5,000 individuals and families that were affected by Katrina’s destruction. SUNBELT believes now is the time for action. People will be feeling the effects for the days, weeks and months to follow. SUNBELT is devoted to helping those affected by Katrina. Project Katrina as well as the SUNBELT Relief Fund will provide support to those during their time of need. The SUNBELT Relief Fund offers financial support to the SUNBELT Network members that are trying to rebuild. SUNBELT Corporate will be matching contributions collected from its Network Offices.
