Padgett Business Services recently conferred the Padgett Awards to outstanding franchise owners at the company's annual convention in Naples, Florida. The Padgett Awards are given each year to recognize the achievements, commitment and hard work of top franchise owners. Padgett is a financial reporting, tax consulting, and payroll business that specializes in servicing independent businesses with less than 20 employees. Bob Crook and Robin Jones (Huntsville, AL) received the United States Office Owners of the Year Award. Crook and Jones distinguish themselves with a high level of service to clients and a willingness to assist other Padgett offices. Didar Vadasaria and Jasvir Bahra (Barrie & Rexdale, ON) received The Canada Office Owners of the Year Award. They are active and stimulating members of the Padgett community and embody the ideals set forth in the company profile. The Office of the Year award is one of the highest honors conferred at the convention. As part of their recognition, the award winners received a custom engraved, silver-plated serving tray and base, and they also received a royalty credit on the previous year's royalty report. Marie Kelley (Montgomery, TX) received the Hewitt Award, which is awarded to the office with the highest total dollar growth over the previous year. She received the Hewett Growth Rate Plaque, a Weekend Getaway Certificate and round trip airfare for two. Kelley also received the Rookie of the Year Award. The criteria for this award is based partly upon total collections from April of the previous year through March of the current year. However, the successful office must also display a number of intangible qualities. "The Rookie of the Year must fully implement the instructions and advice learned during new office training," offered Padgett Business Service Vice-Chairman Brian Austin. "Marie is a perfect example of this. Also, she is tireless in her sales efforts, realizing that marketing is a core component to building a successful practice." Lastly, the Award of Excellence was awarded to Emile and Cheryl de Lassus (Gulfport, MS.) "The Award of Excellence is presented to the office or individual that best exemplifies the true meaning of Padgett Business Services," commented Chairman and CEO Steve Rafsky. "The de Lassuses were selected for their innovative ideas, willingness to test new products, and their contribution toward the growth of the entire company."
