The Wireless Zone system is committed to the welfare and prosperity of the communities in which we live and work. Through our charitable contributions and member involvement, we strive to help create more productive and enriched communities. Historically, Wireless Zone has directly provided support for Neurofibromatosis (NF), Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and United Hospice of Rockland County. In addition to being a major supporter of these charities, Wireless Zone has met the needs of many local and national organizations needing immediate aid. Wireless Zone is creating a new charitable foundation, the Wireless Zone Foundation for Giving, Inc., to provide a structure for this collaborative giving program and to increase public recognition of the charitable activities of the Wireless Zone system. This new Foundation will continue to make grants available to charitable organizations and individuals from donations by its Wireless Zone franchisees, employees and friends. Today 90% of all monies donated through our existing program come from quarterly contributions made by Wireless Zone Corporate and its franchisees. 100% of all these monies collected are passed directly to the selected charity. The new Foundation intends to continue this practice, and, to help insure that this occurs, Automotive Technologies, Inc., parent company of the Wireless Zone system, has agreed to assume the administrative expenses for the creation and ongoing operation of the Foundation. In the near future, the Foundation will be incorporated, and an application for exemption from federal income taxation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code will be filed. We will keep you informed about the Foundation and will be asking for your help and ideas as the Foundation comes into being.
