Pizza company Mr. Gatti's Inc. has a new chief financial officer. Steve Burt joined the company in mid-February, and is Mr. Gatti's first chief financial officer. Prior to joining the Austin-based pizza franchise, Burt worked as director of finance for the personal connectivity solutions group at Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NYSE: AMD), which designs and produces microprocessors and Flash memory devices for the computer, communications and consumer electronics industries. AMD also has operations in Austin. Before working for AMD, Burt was the chief financial officer for Advent Networks Inc. in Austin. In late December, Mr. Gatti's was bought by Blue Sage Capital LP of Austin for an undisclosed mix of debt and equity from Kerrville-based holding company LDB Corp. Currently, Mr. Gatti's operates and franchises about 150 pizza restaurants in nine states throughout the country.
