The Line-X Obsession made the journey back west to the Mid State Fair in Paso Robles, California. Two huge shows were set for 2pm and 7pm on August 7th. The competition would include the 2005 World Finals Champion Bounty Hunter along with five other top trucks. The Line-X Obsession, driven by Rick Swanson, took out Bounty Hunter in the finals in the first event. "I have not really had many opportunities this year to compete against Jimmy Creten and Bounty Hunter", said Rick Swanson. "But when I do, it is always an exciting race and this time I came out on top." In the second event Rick would continue to be a truck to beat to get into the finals and came up a little short in the semis. This is a tough, tight course", said Rick Swanson. "You cannot make any type of mistake here and if you do you end up in your trailer. You can see what happened to me out there." The Line-X Obsession heads north to the state of Washington for several displays and Rounds 17 and 18 of the Monsters of Destruction Monster Truck Series in Monroe, Washington.
