Pritts Cup

Ocean Pines, Md - 31 October, 2005 -

Eight years ago, when Alan and Kathy Hoffman opened their HouseMaster franchise, they made a commitment to provide the best home inspection service possible to their customers on Maryland's Eastern Shore, and to be active participants in the HouseMaster System. At the home inspection company's recent annual conference in Colorado Springs, the couple was rewarded for their efforts with HouseMaster's highest honor: the Pritts Cup. In presenting the award, HouseMaster president and CEO Kathleen Kuhn said, Alan and Kathy are as dedicated to the success of the HouseMaster system as they are to their own business. They approach every aspect of this business, their clients and customers, and life in general in a positive way and with an open mind. They are patient, yet aggressive, and an overall great example of people willing to help out wherever they can. The Pritts Cup, formerly called the Doyle Cup, is presented annually to the franchise office whose outstanding efforts and contributions to the HouseMaster system represent the highest professional service. The award was named in honor of one of HouseMaster's earliest and most successful franchisees, Jim Doyle, and in 2004 was renamed to honor the memory of Bob Pritts, a beloved franchisee who passed away earlier that year. Prior to joining HouseMaster, Hoffman, who has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Maryland School of Architecture, operated his own design office and constructed homes for over 15 years. "Blending our past residential design and construction experiences with the excellent programs and support of HouseMaster has allowed us to become as successful as we are in the home inspection industry in our area," says Hoffman. His office services Worcester and Wicomico counties and the surrounding areas on Maryland's Lower Eastern Shore. Hoffman continues: "We were pleasantly surprised when we were named this year's recipients of the Pritts Cup, and are grateful to the entire HouseMaster family for creating and continuing a business that we love being a part of every day." Upon accepting the award, Hoffman suggested the award henceforth be known as the Bob Pritts 'Master's Cup', since namesake Bob Pritts was from Augusta, Georgia, the home of the Masters Golf Tournament and the award is presented by HouseMaster, the 'masters' of the home inspection industry. Beginning in 2006 the award will be called the Bob Pritts Master's Cup. About HouseMaster: HouseMaster has franchises in more than 370 cities in North America. Each franchise is an independently owned and operated business. Collectively, HouseMaster has performed nearly 2 million inspections since 1979.
