The Hilton Family of Hotels investor relations site, at hiltonfamily.com, and franchise websites, collectively including hiltonfranchise.com, doubletreefranchise.com, embassyfranchise.com, hamptonfranchise.com, hiltongardeninnfranchise.com and homewoodfranchise.com, were named finalists in the “Corporate Websites” category in the third annual American Business Awards, recently presented in New York City. Hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars” by the New York Post (September 22, 2002), The American Business Awards are the first national, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in the workplace. The awards were nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned”. More than 1,200 nominations from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories, including Best Overall Company, Best Executive, Best New Product or Service and Best Support Staffer. “We are delighted with the recognition of our websites as finalists in The American Business Awards,” said Tom Keltner, president brand performance and development group for Hilton Hotels Corporation. “These sites are powerful information tools for current investors and owners to stay in tune with corporate earnings and franchise development information, as well as for prospective franchisees to learn about how they can develop one of the brands within the Hilton Family of Hotels. The sites feature recent news, prototype drawings, design specifications, Suppliers’ Corner listings, key contacts for development, design and construction, and franchise administration, online franchise license application and Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC), summary of franchise fees, costs and other requirements, financing and insurance information, photo galleries and much more. Users also can submit an online form to request more information or to be contacted directly by a Hilton Family development professional. The Hilton investor relations website was created in 2000 to provide shareholders, students and other interested visitors with user-friendly access to the company’s financial information. The site features shareholder dividend dates and amounts, historical earnings and performance data, annual reports, SEC Filings, and corporate governance information. Users can also request to be added to the company’s financial mailing list and send questions directly to a member of the investor relations team via the website. Members of the Awards’ Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected Stevie winners from among the Finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in February through April. The elegant Stevie trophy was designed by R. S.
