EnviroSpect has been awarded private contracts to perform environmental assessments in post-hurricane areas from Florida to Texas. Nearly 850 contracts will be awarded to the company by the end of 2005, with more scheduled in 2006. "We would like to bring in at least 20 new franchisees to assist with these contracts," said Joseph M. Lyons, president of EnviroSpect, Inc. "The contracts range from three months to two years, and are worth up to $100,000 per franchise for every three month's work." The assessments involve inspecting and documenting hurricane-related damage for insurance companies. EnviroSpect has been chosen to fulfill the contracts because each franchisee has the necessary training and insurance. "All new franchisees joining EnviroSpect have the opportunity to immediately begin with a major contract," said Lyons. "Our crews are already on-site, but it's going to take every franchisee we get to keep up with the work. We provide the training, so no experience is necessary to join us." EnviroSpect, founded in 2003, is America's first environmental inspection franchise. The company specializes in residential and commercial environmental testing, inspections and consulting. Franchisees receive a complete package, including 52 hours of initial training, ongoing support, forms and more. The franchise fee is $25,000.
