Training As a new franchisee, you will participate in one of the most comprehensive training programs in the industry. You will start by attending 3 weeks of comprehensive classroom training that covers coffee and tea, our menu, managing a successful cafe, human resources, and much more. Upon completion, you'll spend an additional 3 weeks in your market (whenever possible) working directly in a cafe. Prior to opening your doors, we will help train your staff and assist you in all aspects of opening your store. On-The-Job Training: 144 hours Classroom Training: 86 hours Additional Training: On-the-job training Training will take place at our Morgan Hill, CA headquarters and flagship store for about Two weeks. You will work closely with a designated supervisor and headquarters staff. The training fee is included in the franchise fee. You will be responsible for lodging, travel and other personal costs.
Support All throughout the franchise process, you will have the ongoing support and expertise of our staff. This comes in many forms of assistance: site selection, lease negotiation, business plan format and wording, build out and equipment recommendations, etc...Once open, you then have access to numerous support programs ranging from quarterly visits, mystery shops, customer surveys, our Franchise Resource Center and many other things, including ongoing contact with our staff and support team. Newsletter Meetings/Conventions Toll-Free Line Grand Opening Online Support Security/Safety Procedures Field Operations Proprietary Software Franchisee Intranet Platform You have the option of having one of our supervisors provide you with on-site training for up to five days around the opening date of your restaurant. Marketing BIGGBY COFFEE has an annual promotions calendar for in-store marketing of beverages, food items and merchandise - all designed to grab your customer's attention. BIGGBY also designs and develops advertising materials for direct mail, billboards and print media, as well as radio commercials. BIGGBY's Marketing Department is also available to answer questions, assist you through your Grand Opening and help design and develop custom programs to expand your customer base and increase your sales.
